“God desires to glorify His name by answering prayer” – E. M. Bounds

BCC seeks to be a praying church in order to be a church at all.  We aim to develop our heart for prayer and encourage an ethos of prayerfulness among our community.  We want to encourage all individuals to pray unceasingly (Acts 2:42, 2 Thes. 5:17), but we also see the great importance of corporate prayer (Acts 1:14, Matt. 18:19-20).

Each Sunday morning, there are prayers of intercession for our church, our nation and our world.

In addition, usually on the first Saturday, we host a Monthly Prayer Breakfast at the church building, with breakfast 08.00-08:30 and prayer from 8.30 – 9.30 am. Thus, we have restricted the meetings to an hour with people welcome to arrive half an hour early for a time of extended fellowship. We tend to focus on the mission of BCC for the most part, praying for the leaders, the congregation (specific needs etc.), the different ministries of the church, and our wider partnerships (e.g. the work of the rural churches and our church partners in South Africa).
